Ever since WWE split Raw and Smackdown, there have been tons of rumors about the possible former talents that could bulk up the roster. MVP's name has come up on several occasions.

According to reports, Montel Vontavious Porter is coming back to WWE, but a report from Wrestling Observer Newsletter claims that MVP won't set foot into the ring anytime soon.

His visit to WWE NXT in Houston, Texas last month also fuelled rumors that he will soon be back in action, but MVP himself shot down the rumors about his WWE return on his Twitter.

"I am not signed with WWE. I went to NXT to visit friends. I promise you," he clarified. However, he is accepting independent bookings at the moment.

However, WON implies that this might have something to do with the reportedly low talent fee that WWE is offering to its former superstars.

Many fans are hoping to see MVP in the WWE ring again. It has been almost six years since MVP was released by WWE. His retirement match was a lost tag team bout with Kaval against Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler.

MVP did not stop wrestling after that as he was associated with the New Japan Pro Wrestling not long after. The Inquisitr points out that this is where MVP mostly thrived as a title contender.

He also wrestled for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling up until last year. Now, as his tweet suggested, he still likes to tussle and grapple in the wrestling ring.

Despite his wrestling career at its prime in NJPW, MVP still had some amazing and unforgettable moments and matches while he was with WWE.

However, fans won't get to see more of those as it looks like the 42-year-old Miami native is not stepping back into the squared circle. Whether or not he was one of the former talents contacted by WWE for a return is unknown.
