WWE return rumors: Melina getting ready to make her comeback?

WWE is extremely serious in boosting its roster for the brand split by bringing back more veterans to the fold. It is being reported that one superstar set to make a big comeback is Melina.

According to PW Insider, Melina is close to inking her deal for a WWE return, which means that she might soon be stepping into the ring once again.

Melina has not been in the WWE ring for almost six years now. She was released by the company in 2011 after her battle royal match, where she lost. Prior to that, she lost the Divas Championship.

She has not stopped wrestling after that though, as she participated in other wrestling shows such as Women Superstars Uncensored, North East Wrestling and World Wrestling Council.

Now, it looks like Melina is ready for her highly-anticipated WWE return. The moment fans have been waiting for is within reach with reports claiming that she is poised to sign a deal with WWE again.

There's no telling at the moment where Melina will land, although The Inquisitr believes she will make a great rival against Nia Jax, the beloved NXT superstar who was drafted to Raw.

The publication believes that having her on the red brand will help boost the women's division there and will open up opportunities to various exciting feuds.

Melina's experience, however, is also envisioned as more useful to SmackDown, whose women lineup is dominated by new faces who can take a note or two from the veteran.

Following the WWE brand split, there have been a lot of reports on which former talents are coming back to bulk up the roster of the two wrestling shows.

Apart from Melina, PW Insider is also claiming that other former superstars like Carlito, MVP and Tommy Dreamer were also contacted by the WWE to return.
