Last-gen console users in the U.S. are given an early holiday treat, as 2K Games released "WWE 2K15" exclusively for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on Oct. 28.

The new "WWE 2K15" game for PS3 and Xbox 360 features Who Got NXT game mode, wherein players can unlock characters like the NXT superstars Sami Zayn, Adrian Neville, Rusev, Corey Graves, as well as Bo Dallas. The goal is to complete all the matches featuring the NXT Superstars to unlock the other Superstars for other featured in-game mode, particularly the WWE Universe, Exhibition, and the Creation Suite.

Also, players who manage to finish the entire NXT Superstars mode will be able to unlock a special match against John Cena.

"Until completing said requirements, NXT Superstars would be prohibited from all game modes (e.g. Exhibition, Online, Creation Suite, Universe), and their associated assets (e.g. moves, entrance videos, etc.) would be locked. We wanted the unlocking of an NXT Superstar to be similar to that of an actual NXT Superstar being called up to the main roster," WWE 2K Senior Designer Bryan Williams explained.

However, the PS 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the "WWE 2K15" do not include the MyCareer game plot.

Williams pointed out, "With MyCareer being exclusive to Xbox One and PS4 versions of WWE 2K15, we (the design team) were tasked with creating a mode that would only be made available on Xbox 360 and PS3. With our creative juices flowing, just about everyone on the team immediately thought of NXT."

Though the U.S. market can already get their hands on the newly released game title as early as today, the European and international markets need to wait a little longer since the game will not be able to reach the shelves before Oct. 31.

Meanwhile, the highly anticipated "WWE 2K" next-gen versions is said to be released on Nov. 18 in the U.S., and Nov. 21 in the international market.
