Microsoft confirmed that the special event to be held in its Redmond campus on Jan. 21 is meant to unveil the latest news about Windows 10. The said event, dubbed as "Windows 10: The next chapter," will feature talks from the Operating Systems Group senior leaders including Joe Belfiore, Terry Myerson, as well as Phil Spencer. They will discuss more detailed information about their upcoming product.

According to reports, the special event will offer more details about the consumer-focused features of Windows 10. It will also be streamed live online so that a lot of people can learn from the said event.

The Jan. 21 event will push through despite reports that numerous testers were disappointed with the performance of the new Windows operating system. Microsoft exec Gabe Aul addressed the bug problems in his recent article posted on the Microsoft blog site, explaining that some bugs were overlooked.

"I know that some of you are disappointed that we didn't release another build (though we know some of them escaped....I'm looking at you 9888 & 9901...)* but now that we've announced our event on January 21st I can finally explain why we didn't. We've been very hard at work putting together a great build for you that includes a bunch of new features and improvements. As all of those payloads came in we needed to stabilize code, fix any integration issues, and ensure all of the new UX is polished," Aul said.

Aul also mentioned that the technical glitches are simple bugs, and that they are already addressing all the problems so that the Windows 10 operating system will be ready in time for the Jan. 21 event.

"Since all aspects of how we build and service Windows 10 are being done faster than ever before. We're confident that this will get smoother as we evolve how we do this, but we do apologize for the bumps and thank you for sticking with us!" the Microsoft exec stated.
