Rumors have surfaced that a new line of Lumia smartphones with Windows 10 will soon be released. Now, a Microsoft exec finally confirmed that such devices are definitely coming.

Terry Myerson, Executive Vice President of the Windows and Devices Group at Microsoft, revealed during the recently concluded Worldwide Partner Conference held in Orlando, Florida that they are preparing for the launch of the new high-end Lumia smartphones that run using the company's upcoming Windows 10 operating system.

"Last week we announced a focusing on our Lumia lineup, but let me be clear: soon you will see premium new Lumias designed for Windows 10," Myerson said.

The Windows and Devices group exec was referring to the statement that the Redmond-based computer giant will come up with several strategic improvements on their mobile business manufacturing arm. Even Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella talked about the soon-to-be released Lumia devices in his speech at the same event on July 13.

"We will do everything we have to do to make sure we're making progress on phones. We have them. Even today Terry (Myerson, the head of Windows and Devices) reinforced, again, yes, we will have premium Lumias coming this year," Nadella said.

Rrumors about the upcoming Windows 10-powered Lumia products say that an alleged Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL smartphones will be unveiled during the upcoming IFA 2015 on Sept. 4 in Germany.

According to reports, the Lumia 940 will come out with a 5.2-inch touchscreen display, a Snapdragon 808 chip processor, 3 GB of RAM as well as a 20-megapixel PureView technology-powered rear camera.

On the other hand, the Lumia 940 XL is said to be the Lumia 940's larger version, which will feature a 5.7-inch touchscreen display that has a Quad HD resolution, a Snapdragon 810 processor, and it will also have the same 3 GB of RAM and 20 MP PureView rear camera.

Reports also claim that the high-end Microsoft-manufactured smartphone devices will be sold at a relatively high price range, which is allegedly even higher than Apple's iPhone 6 and Samsung's Galaxy S6.
