Microsoft finally fixed some of the most common issues discovered by the Windows Insiders on the Windows 10 Mobile beta when the tech company released the latest Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 1057.

In the latest update posted on the official Windows blog, Microsoft's Gabe Aul shared:

"Today we are releasing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 10576 to Windows Insiders in the Fast ring. Not only does this build have a good set of bug fixes and fit-an-finish, it also includes a few new things for you to try."

One of the issues that was addressed in the newest Windows 10 Mobile build is the corrupted Start experience that happens whenever the user restores a backup using a phone that comes with a different resolution.

To fix this using the new build, users should simply go to the device's uncorrupted Action Center, then look for the Settings, then tap the Personalization tab and choose Start to apply a different background image.

The other fixed issues include:

  • Correcting the issue where the Xbox app for built in Windows 10 could have the tendency to use a huge chunk of memory on the user's PC when playing any Win32 games installed on the PC.
  • Launching an early preview of nested virtualization to allow users to run Hyper-V Containers in Hyper-V virtual machines using the Build 10565 which have performance improvements.
  • Addressed most of the user feedback regarding the localization text UI in using different languages.
  • Working search box even if the user is in a region where Cortana is not available.

However, this build also comes with several issues, including the reduced volume level of the audio playing from the Action Center by as much as 75% for a time period as well as the missing Skype messages and contacts in the operating system's Messaging app.

Microsoft allegedly plans to unveil the first batch of Windows 10 smartphones in November, while the current Windows Phone users can start upgrading their devices when the Windows 10 Mobile rolls out in December.
