Why the 'Rainbow Six Siege' meta changed with Operation Chimera

The third and latest downloadable content of "Rainbow Six Siege," "Operation Chimera" has finally just been released. A lot of new additions will be made to the game and fans may already be aware of it. However, one that many may miss out is how these new additions will actually change the meta of the game.

The new meta is quite simply the result of the new characters that people will most likely play. Understanding the way they work also means understanding how to counter them. With Finka and Lion giving players a choice of new combat mechanics, players will then have to react differently.

Frenchman Lion has the EE-One-D gadge which scans the enemies location and their movement for four seconds. There are two effects of this. The first is that the enemy team would have to stay still to not reveal where they were heading. The second, however, also implies that not moving will also lead to their death. During those three seconds of not moving, the opposing team could rush to where they are and shoot them.

Even more interestingly, Lion can use this gadget thrice per round. The scan even shows Lion's team what kind of operators the opposing team have chosen as well. On the other hand, Finka also has a decent kit as well.

She is quite like Doc but her buff heals 20 HP for 20 seconds, gives them faster reload speed, less recoil, and resistance to stun. However, if they get hit during then, the player will be automatically downed. If not, theire health also goes back to normal HP before the buff. Most importantly she can also revive teammates wherever they are on the map.

That said, there are also two courses of action. One is that with Finka on the team, they could have more coordinated attacks given their buffs. Another strategy could also be that they roam around separately since they can be revived by Finka without necessarily being near her.
