'We're in last minutes on God's clock; Christ is returning'€”Franklin Graham

Reverend Franklin Graham says ‘all of us need to be ready to stand before God and give to Him an account for our lives.’

When an old gentleman came up to Reverend Franklin Graham and asked him when Jesus Christ would be coming back, Graham told him the truth: Nobody knows.

"But the Bible is clear — He is returning, He said so Himself. If you read God's Word, I believe that we are in the last minutes of the last hours on God's clock. Christ could return at any moment," he wrote on his Facebook page.

What people need to concern themselves with right now, according to the American evangelist, is how they are going to account for their lives once Jesus returns. Have they stayed true to God and worked hard to be His disciples on Earth, or have they fallen short and forsaken His truth in exchange for the pleasures of the world?

"The point is, all of us need to be ready to stand before God and give to Him an account for our lives. For those who have put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ, we know that our sins have been forgiven and we will not stand in the judgement of Almighty God for our sins," he further said.

Graham then quoted the Bible verse Matthew 24:44 to remind people that the second coming of Jesus will come without warning, and that people need to prepare for it. The verse says: "Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect."

For those who are not sure if they are ready, Graham urged them to say a sincere prayer of faith and ask God for forgiveness: "Dear God, I am a sinner. I'm sorry for my sin; please forgive me. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son and that He died for my sins and You raised Him to life. I want to invite Him into my heart to take control of my life. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen."
