'Wayward Pines' episode 8 spoilers: Idaho's creepy town and its sheriff face possible explosion

The cast of Wayward Pines season one.

Ethan's life could be in danger in the next episodes of "Wayward Pines."

After learning about the secrets of the creepy Idaho town, Ethan (Matt Dillon) finds himself in danger when he attempts to reveal the truth to his wife Theresa (Shannyn Sossamon) and his former lover Kate (Carla Gugino). But before he reaches either of the two women, he learns that a bomb has been planted in his car. This could mean that one of the shady citizens of Wayward Pines is trying to betray him.

In episode 7 titled "Betrayal," fans of the show will find out who is deceiving him.

Previously, Kate and her husband Harold (Reed Diamond) were seen holding a bomb. They claimed that they want to use it to blow off the fence to see what is hiding on its other side. Were they telling the truth or are they planning on using it to hurt Ethan?

Also, viewers of the show will also see Kate and Harold head over to the hospital for a scheduled fertility consultation with Nurse Pam (Melissa Leo) because of Kate's alleged infertility issues. Is it just a ploy to get more information about what Pam and his brother David (Toby Jones) are up to? Or will Nurse Pam immediately detect the couple's plans to go outside the town's fence?

Meanwhile, the eighth episode of M. Night Shyamalan's sci-fi Tv thriller titled "The Friendliest Place on Earth" will see a bigger destruction in the strange town. The official synopsis of "Wayward Pine" episode 8 reads:

Ethan sets out to determine who is responsible for an explosion on Main Street that left two residents in critical condition; Harold bails on the covert operation; Nurse Pam tries to ascertain whether any workers have been making false reports."

The seventh episode of "Wayward Pines" will air on Thursday, July 2, while the eighth episode will be shown on July 9 on FOX.
