'Warcraft' movie news: War brews and alliance forms

"War is coming" in the latest trailer for the highly anticipated "Warcraft" movie. An all-new TV spot (it follows up the trailer released back in November) shows that the film will be action-packed as fans expected.

The clip teases that "enemies will unite" to take on a menace greater than their ongoing feud. The warfare compelled two opposing leaders -- Frostwolf chieftain and Orcs warrior Durotan and Azeroth knight champion Anduin Lothar -- to join forces to defeat a much larger threat that could end the civilization they long fought for.

In the "Warcraft" movie promo, Lothar can be heard doubting Durotan's intentions, asking "Can we trust him?" After all, they have been trying to destroy each other for ages. "They're beasts. They should all be destroyed," a member of the humans aka the Alliance suggested.

In the end, however, Lothar chose to form an allegiance with Durotan, who, in turn, referred to him as "my friend" toward the end of the clip. Sadly, the "Warcraft" TV spot did not do so much as to flesh out a bit more about the plot.

The biggest takeaway is that the movie will look fairly impressive, having recreated Azeroth and the characters, especially the Orcs, spectacularly. However, Slash Film notices that the trailer is a bit of a hit-and-miss when it comes to animation.

While some parts looked good, others appear "unfinished." Either way, there's still more time to polish the film. "Warcraft," which was originally scheduled to hit the theaters this March, will be released in June instead – June 10 to be specific.

"Warcraft" is based on Blizzard Entertainment's popular MMORPG "World of Warcraft." It sees the clash between the Horde and Alliance and their eventual and necessitated team-up. The synopsis is as follows:

The peaceful realm of Azeroth stands on the brink of war as its civilization faces a fearsome race of invaders: Orc warriors fleeing their dying home to colonize another. As a portal opens to connect the two worlds, one army faces destruction and the other faces extinction. From opposing sides, two heroes are set on a collision course that will decide the fate of their family, their people and their home.

So begins a spectacular saga of power and sacrifice in which war has many faces, and everyone fights for something.
