"The Walking Dead" fans are thrilled to see the first two minutes of the upcoming midseason premiere of the hit post-apocalypse drama released by AMC. The new video shows the events that transpire following the death of Beth Green (Emily Kinney) at the end of the season 5 midseason finale.

In the upcoming episode, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and the rest of the group bury Beth's body. The heart-wrenching sobs of Beth's sister Maggie (Lauren Cohan) are heard in the video while Father Gabriel (Seth Gillam) reads 2 Corinthians 4:18-5:1 during the burial ceremony. They then embark on a dangerous journey to fulfill Beth's last wishes to help Noah (Tyler James Williams) reunite with his family in Virginia.

Lincoln talked about the upcoming episode during an interview with MTV, saying that the midseason premiere will be an amazing episode because of the visuals and the script. The actor also talked about the group's decision to go to Virginia because of Beth's wishes.

He said, "The interesting thing about the [Virginia] decision was it was the only physical way they could honor Beth. She's dead and gone, and we can't affect anything outside of that. One thing we can do is honor her wishes, and try to see if we can find Noah's parents. I love that, when you realize the reasoning behind it was actually a softening, a tenderness, the humane side of Rick we haven't seen for quite some time...[He had] very possibly a quite paternal feeling towards her."

However, Lincoln also teased that something happens to some of their group members during the long and hazardous road trip to Virginia.

The video trailer also shows that the group is reaching its breaking point after the emotional turmoil that they endured in the past, as well as the risk of an uncertain future.

"The Walking Dead" season 5 midseason premiere airs on Sunday, Feb. 8, on AMC. If you miss the episode, be sure to watch it online via live stream on AMC.
