'The Walking Dead' season 6 spoilers: How will events unfold?

Steven Yeun as Glenn in The Walking Dead AMC

Did actor Norman Reedus drop the bomb about a character's fate in "The Walking Dead" season 6?

During a cast interview with MTV after the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con, the cast of the critically-acclaimed post-apocalyptic zombie series from AMC talked about the characters that they would want to bring back to life in the series.

Sonequa Martin-Green, who plays Sasha in the series, said that she is a big fan of Jon Bernthal's character Shane Walsh, while executive producer Greg Nicotero said it would be interesting to see what would happen to Rick Grimes' wife Lori (Sarah Wayne Callies) if she and Shane were still alive. Steven Yeun, on the other hand, said that he misses interacting with his character's mentors Hershel and Dale, portrayed by Scott Wilson and Jeffrey DeMunn, respectively, and he feels that they could still do a lot of things for the group at this time.

But the discussion took a shocking turn when Reedus answered that he wants Yeun's character Glenn to stay alive. His cast mates were obviiously stunned by his answer.

Nicotero corrected him by saying, "Glenn is still alive on the show."

Reedus was probably just messing around and joked about Glenn's death or he accidentally revealed one big piece of information about "The Walking Dead's" plot once it returns for its sixth season.

In the comic book series on which the show was based, Glenn dies after Negan, the ruthless leader of the group called The Saviors, randomly chooses him to be bludgeoned to death in retaliation for the death of his members because of Rick and their group's attack.

If Glenn will die this season, does it mean that Negan will finally be introduced in the TV series?

Nothing has been confirmed about this information at the moment, but it would be interesting to see how season 6 plays out once "The Walking Dead" returns on AMC on Oct. 11.
