Will there be more bloodshed in Vikings season 3? history.com

After "Vikings" got renewed by the History Channel for another 10-episode season, fans have been looking forward to seeing more exciting twists in the hit historical drama TV series.

One of the most significant plot changes that will be shown in the show's new season is the characters' big move from England to the French countryside.

"Yeah, we're gonna attack Paris. Paris was the most extraordinary city. It was still a Roman city, and it was like nothing else on earth," series creator Michael Hirst shared in an interview. "We're just building that, at the moment, on the backlot. It will also be CGI. Ragnar attacked Paris with one hundred ships."

Meanwhile, the season will also delve into the Bjorn-Rollo relationship in the upcoming season.  According to spoilers, Bjorn will seek his uncle's advice as they raid Paris. This may make Ragnar uncomfortable, since he found Rollo's motives questionable. But Bjorn could not care less.

Clive Standen, the actor who portrays the role of Rollo in the series, posted his views about the uncle-nephew relationship for season three.

"Rollo & Bjorn can learn a lot from each other...and they will in season 3," the actor posted.

On the other hand, KpopStarz pointed out that one of the major characters could possibly die this season.

"We have lost a few characters," actress Katheryb Winnick reportedly revealed when asked about what is in store for the Canadian-Irish history-based drama. "Some beloved characters and some amazing characters, so it's been a little bit in mourning on the Vikings set. But I'm telling you, it's going to be amazing this year."

Though there are no confirmed news about who will be slain in season three, most fans are speculating that Athelstan will be the one who will die in the bloodshed because George Blagden, the actor who portrayed the role of Athelstan, landed an acting gig in a different TV series.

"Vikings" Season 3 is expected to run sometime in 2015.
