'Vikings' season 4 episode 2 spoilers: Floki dies in 'Kill the Queen?'

The next episode of "Vikings" season 4 is still war-heavy as Ragnar is busy making his enemies pay. The king is yet to exonerate Floki on murdering the one man he can trust – Athelstan. In fact, he has no plan to. Now, he has "something wonderful" in store for him.

"You made me suffer and now, I shall make you suffer," King Ragnar tells a shaking Floki in the trailer. It looks like the boat builder will meet his demise in this episode because by the end of the promo, Ragnar and Floki's wife Helga are shown looking over a clothed dead body.

At the moment, though, there's no clear confirmation of Floki's demise. "Vikings" creator Michael Hirst has said that it's "incredibly difficult" for Ragnar to put one of his closest friends to death and that he's hoping for "a way out" to be able to absolve him.

"It would need some other unexpected force or intervention that would allow him to release and forgive Floki," Hirst explained to TV Guide. That being said, Floki might actually survive.

After all, Ragnar's punishment for him is something that goes "on and on and on," not instant death. The remains that Helga and Ragnar in the "Vikings" season 4 promo are looking at could be of someone else.

Meanwhile, it looks like Rollo has completely turned away from his brother. The second episode of "Vikings" season 4 teases that he will be attempting to charm his bride Princess Gisla, who he will be marrying in exchange for his loyalty to Paris.

The promo hints that Rollo will be getting some assistance from Count Odo, who was instructed to "build more boats" for Paris, presumably to be better prepared in the event Ragnar's men attack once more.

Meanwhile, "Vikings" season 4 will also see Queen Kwenthrith as the new target and how King Ecbert's son Aethelwulf could end up being her savior. Also, Bjorn will try to redeem himself in his father's eyes by traversing the ruthless cold. He will be encountering unwelcoming creatures during his journey.

Run, Bjorn, run! #Vikings
