Don't Nod Entertainment, the developers of the upcoming action-adventure, vampire roleplaying game "Vampyr" have revealed that they do not have any plans to create supplementary downloadable content packs (DLC) for the game.

According to news game website PC Gamer, Cédric Lagarrigue, the president of Focus Home Entertainment told MCV UK that they wouldn't be making a DLC. They wanted Vampyr to be a complete experience in itself, and if it proved to be a successful game, they would forego the DLC updates and instead focus on working on a sequel that would expand on their characters and the world they'd created.

In an interview with MCV UK, Lagarrigue gave his thoughts on "Vampyr."

"This is a purely solo experience; we did not plan DLC. We would prefer, if the reception of the game justifies it, to think about a sequel. We and Dontnod already have some ideas, as there's so many incredible things to offer in such a universe."

Reportedly Lagarrigue brought up that "Vampyr" would be considered a success if they could sell a million copies. If the game proves profitable, video game fans might be in for a sequel, but until then will have to wait for the first game which is coming sometime in Spring 2018.

The game was originally supposed to be released sometime during the end of 2017 but was pushed back so the team could focus on polishing the game and improving upon what was already there. The developers didn't want to compromise on quality and reached the decision that submitting the game later than planned would be for the best as long as they didn't skimp out on quality and ensured that they delivered a well-function and hopefully bug-free game.

"Vampyr" is the story of doctor-turned-vampire Jonathan Reid. It takes place in 1918 London after the beginning of a strange plague. Players will be met with moral decisions as Jonathan's story unfolds.
