A lot of changes seem to be happening in Mystic Falls in the coming episode of "The Vampire Diaries" season 6.
In the last episode, Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) talked about how they imagine their future, and Elena seems to be looking forward to a life in New York as an ordinary person while married to Damon. She also said that she wants to have at least two kids with him.
Damon contemplated on giving Elena the cure to reverse her vampire persona, but several confrontations with his mother Lily (Annie Wersching) forced him to present the cure to Elena. But he suggested that she takes the cure with him so both of them can start a normal life together, just like she wants.
But will Elena take Damon's offer?
The official synopsis for the episode titled "I'd Leave My Happy Home for You" reads:
"As Alaric (Matt Davis) and Jo (guest star Jodi Lyn O'Keefe) reluctantly participate in their bachelor and bachelorette parties, Damon and Elena discuss the ramifications from an impulsive offer that Damon makes. Unsure of what to do, Elena turns to Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Jo for advice, but is left conflicted when Bonnie raises some unanticipated concerns. When Enzo (Michael Malarkey) realizes Lily is on a dangerous downward spiral, he asks Stefan (Paul Wesley) to help intervene before it's too late. Lastly, fed up with the supernatural threats that plague their town, Matt (Zach Roerig) takes his frustrations out on Tyler (Michael Trevino), while Alaric considers a life-changing piece of advice."
Does this mean that Elena is not the only one who will leave The Vampire Diaries after this season?
Recently, Dobrev confirmed that season six will be her last for the series. Fans of the show were concerned about its implications for Elena's relationship with Damon. But if Elena will take Damon with her in New York, could it mean that Ian Somerhalder will also leave the series?
