'UnREAL' season 2 spoilers: More of Rachel's 'full-dragon mode'

How will Rachel (Shiri Appleby) and Quinn (Constance Zimmer) top the season finale of Everlasting when UnREAL returns for season 2? mylifetime.com/shows/unreal

It is very common to see a few twists toward the end of a dating reality show, but no one was prepared to see how Quinn King (Constance Zimmer), the coldblooded executive producer of "Everlasting," and Rachel Goldberg (Shiri Appleby), its morally-conflicted but naturally manipulative producer, would end the show in the first season finale of "UnREAL."

The explosive first season conclusion of Lifetime's groundbreaking dark comedy-drama showed how Rachel used her pain to come up with the most incredible material for reality TV. Just when she and the handsome British suitor Adam (Freddie Stroma) decided to run away from everything, Adam decided to change his mind at the last minute because of the lies concocted by Quinn and left Rachel hanging.

Things got more intense when she had to see Adam publicly propose to "Everlasting" contestant Anna (Johanna Braddy) and prepare their fairy tale wedding. Rachel decided to confront Adam about his betrayal and made him confess that he has no feelings toward his bride while Anna was just within earshot. In the end, the heartbroken Anna stood him up at the altar.

All these events were obviously caught on camera, which gave Rachel the perfect material to air in the season finale of their highly talked-about reality show.

But can the creators of "UnREAL" top the events in the first season when the show returns for its sophomore run?

Series co-creator Sarah Gertrude Shapiro told the panel at the Paley Center for Media that despite all the drama that was featured in the reality show within the show, "Everlasting" will still be a huge part of "UnREAL" season 2. In an interview with TVLine, series co-creator Marti Noxon also shared some of their ideas for the plot of season 2.

"We're talking, absolutely, about switching the format up," Noxon said. "You know what's really funny? At one point, one of the pitches on the table was two bachelorettes, you know, two suitors. And they're battling each other, because we love the cat-fight aspects of it. So we were going to call it Everlasting Cat Fight. [Laughs]. And then [The Bachelor] did it! Sarah was like, "We have a mole. We have a mole!" [Laughs]."

Meanwhile, Shapiro also shared another idea via The Hollywood Reporter, saying that she wants to see more of Rachel's full-dragon, Walter White-inspired mode which she displayed in the season 1 finale.

"[There's] the possibility of a tropical location, some more time dealing with the race issue, which is something we dealt with pretty quickly this season and we feel is really important. Both Quinn and Rachel are on fire at the end of this season and we can't wait to see what they do," she added.
