'Under the Dome' season 3 spoilers: Big Jim faces more danger up ahead in episode 6

 CBS

Things will get even more stranger in Chester's Mill in the next episode of "Under the Dome" season 3.

In the previous episode, Big Jim (Dean Norris) encountered the Aktaion Energy agents once again and they forced him to be the company's pawn while Christine (Marg Helgenberger) would act as the company's experiment so that they can use the mystery of the Dome as a source of energy. For the next episode, Big Jim will try to get more information about Christine under the orders of the Aktaion.

The official synopsis for the episode titled "Cage" reads:

When Big Jim is captured by Aktaion, the dangerous private corporation that's descended on Chester's Mill to harness the Dome's energy capabilities, he's forced to manipulate Christine for information about her agenda. Also, when Joe and Norrie question the town's new rules, they find themselves in a dangerous face-off with the increasingly unstable residents."

But despite the new details about the mysterious Dome that suddenly covered the small town of Chester's Mill and the building tension in the series' plot, ratings of the show continue to drop at a steady phase. According to TV by the Numbers, the latest episode of the sci-fri drama received the lowest rating since the series premiered. It allegedly earned a dismal 0.9 rating after previously earning 1.1 in the 18-49 category.

This drop in ratings could affect CBS' decision whether or not to order another season of "Under the Dome." Fans of the show are already worried that it might get cancelled by the network if the rating will not catch up this season.

During the recently concluded 2015 San Diego Comic-Con, executive producer Tim Schlattman said that all the secrets of the Dome will be unveiled by the end of the current season.

"We threw a lot of stuff at you in the first two hours. By the end of the season, you will know everything. I usually don't use this language ... but things are gonna get bananas," Schlattman said.

The series producer also revealed that a big death is coming up in the show's remaining episodes.

"Sometimes a series can have deaths that don't really mean anything," Schlattmann said. "I think this season, these deaths are really going to matter."
