'Uncharted 4' release date: Leak indicates Day One patch weighs 5GB

"Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" is getting a massive Day One patch Sony/Naughty Dog

Rumor has it that "Uncharted 4" will come with a 5GB Day One patch, which comes with a whole host of support for the upcoming action-adventure third-person shooter.

All Games Data shared a screenshot of what the patch contains. There, it was revealed that the Day One update for the latest Naughty Dog masterpiece alone has the single player, such as `character skins, and the multiplayer at the heart of it.

The "Uncharted 4" Day One patch also comes with support for extra features such as the Photo Mode, Journal Viewer, Weapon Selector and Concept Art Galleries, some of which players can take advantage of with an internet connection.

"Uncharted 4" will be released in 10 days. Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) is already preparing it for sale, but the copies aboard the lorry on the way to UK were stolen on the way.

Not long after the unfortunate incident, fans in the region claim to have purchased some copies of the game via the CEX store and on eBay. In an official statement, SCE Worldwide Studios VP Shuhei Yoshida addressed the incident and promised resolution as soon as possible.

The company is already working with the police to solve the criminal investigation. Also in the statement, Yoshida shared the sentiment of fans who have been waiting for the arrival of "Uncharted 4," only to be thwarted by such untoward occurrence.

"We know that very many of you have been looking forward with great anticipation and excitement to the latest masterpiece from Naughty Dog. From what I have played of Nathan Drake's latest adventure, I can tell you that it is very much worth the wait," he promised.

Yoshida also took time to warn fans for potential spoilers, which may ruin the experience for others, especially since the game's story is "such an integral part of the experience."

Updates on the investigation should emerge in the following days. It is safe to assume that the release date of "Uncharted 4" in other regions still stands.
