'Uncharted 4: A Thief's End' release date delayed? what to expect

The wait for the release of "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" might still take a long while, based on the latest update from Naughty Dog lead animator Jeremy Yates.

In a recent Twitter update, Yates posted a photo of himself wearing the Nathan Drake costume. He also mentioned that he will be donning the attire for the last time. But he did not mention if it means that the highly anticipated fourth and final installment of the popular action-adventure shooter game is coming out to the market sooner or later.

Naughty Dog first revealed that they were developing a new "Uncharted" by dropping a teaser trailer in November 2013, then revealed in March 2014 that the new game's title will be "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End."

The studio initially announced that the game will be released sometime in 2015, but announced in March that year that it would instead come out on March 18, 2016 to give them a longer development time. Then in December 2015, they once again released an announcement saying that the game will be further delayed to April 26, 2016. But since Yates proved that the game's development is still underway, it could mean that the release date for "Uncharted 4" could be pushed back further to a later schedule.

However, Sony recently revealed that they will be releasing a limited edition "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" PlayStation 4 bundle together with the game upon its release.

The upcoming PlayStation 4 bundle comes with a specially designed Gray Blue console, complete with Nathan Drake's silhouette. It will also have a matching DualShock 4 Wireless controller as well as the copy of the upcoming game.

"It's everything an aspiring treasure hunter needs to travel to exotic locations and rediscover fortunes forgotten by time," the announcement said.

The announcement stated that the limited edition PlayStation 4 bundle will come out on April 26, but the pre-order period already began. This could mean that the game will be out on the same date.
