Just less than a couple of months ahead of its highly anticipated and long-awaited release, "Uncharted 4: Thief's End" finally goes gold. This means that Nathan Drake's final adventure is all set to hit the stores.

The announcement was made via the official Twitter account of developer Naughty Dog. "Uncharted" director Neil Druckmann also reveled in the milestone by posting on Twitter a photo of a copy of the game.

After the good news broke out, "Uncharted 4" art director Bruce Straley further boosted the hype by calling the upcoming action-adventure third-person shooter "the most visually stunning game ever created."

Being the final outing of Nathan Drake, "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" is expected to be the best game in the franchise and one that will give the beloved fortune-hunter a legacy and a leave-taking gamers will never forget.

Just recently, Naughty Dog shared their experiences and memories working on "Uncharted" in a mini-documentary. Developers and voice actors talked about the franchise and the years dedicated to its creation.

"All we can really do as a team is make something that's really personal to us [and] use everything that we've learned in the past to...elevate the medium one step further, to challenge ourselves to go into areas that we're uncomfortable with, and we do that with every game," Druckmann said in the clip called "Growing up with Drake."

"And hopefully we come out on the other side with something great," he went on to say, even describing the long work hours "grueling."

The news also means that "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" is without a doubt making it to its release date. Fans will remember that it was originally slated for a spring release before it was moved to April 2016 then its current May release date.

"Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" will be available for purchase starting May 10 for the PS4.
