Nightdive Studios, one of the developers and the publisher of the games "Turok: Dinosaur Hunter" and "Turok 2: Seeds of Evil," announced that they will release the two classic games for Xbox One on March 2.

Nightdive announced the news via a YouTube launch trailer.

According to the Steam page of "Turok: Dinosaur Hunter," players take on the role of Turok, a time-traveling warrior who found himself in a savage land torn apart by disputes called the Lost Land. The main antagonist of the game is an evil overlord named Tha Campaigner who attempts to remove the concept of time, ruling the universe using an ancient artifact known as The Chronoscepter which was shattered into eight pieces to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands. Turok is tasked to find the eight pieces of the artifact that were scattered throughout the Lost Land and stop The Campaigner from succeeding with his evil plans.

According to its Steam page, "Turok 2: Seeds of Evil" follows the end of the story of the first game. After defeating The Campaigner, Turok threw The Chronoscepter into a volcano to destroy it. However, he had awakened a more daunting opponent — a powerful alien called The Primagen who was trapped in the wreckage of his own Lightship. Turok must battle the primitive creatures from Lost Land who were tasked by The Primagen to destroy the five Energy Totems bounding him to his Lightship. Turok must ensure that the Energy Totems will not be destroyed as the alternative scenario is unthinkable — The Primagen will be free and the shockwaves from his escape will destroy the universe.

Nightdive Studios said that "Turok: Dinosaur Hunter" and "Turok 2: Seeds of Evil" are both available for preorder now. Polygon reported that the two classic games will retail at $19.99 each.
