Construction and management simulation game "Tropico" is coming back in 2018 with "Tropico 6"

No specific release dates have been given yet, but the game already has an information page up on Steam. "El Presidente is back! Prove yourself once again as a feared dictator or peace-loving statesman on the island state of Tropico and shape the fate of your very own banana republic through four distinctive eras." According to the game's official summary "Tropico 6" will share some similarities with its predecessor "Tropico 5." Players will have to mold their protagonist into the specific type of leader they want.

Despite the similarities between the games "Tropico 6" is making some changes to the formula.

According to video game news website Polygon, things were more black and white in "Tropico 5" and players had to choose between either becoming a rich leader or becoming popular with the people. There was no middle ground, no way to make a compromise, it was either riches or likeability.

"Tropico 6" however will be featuring new elements to help make roleplaying easier. Players will reportedly have the ability to give political speeches. Aside from that, more factions will be available in the upcoming game. According to Polygon, the factions present in "Tropico 5" were somewhat easy to please, taking away from the tension, and allowing for all parties end up contented.

In "Tropico 6" player's choices will matter more. With the increased number of factions, it will be harder to please everyone and not all the representatives will be going home happy with the decisions made. Aside from this, "Tropico 6" will have the different factions represented by different spokespeople.

Aside from all the changes made to "Tropico 6," players will now be able to manage multiple islands at the same time, raid foreign lands for items, build bridges and tunnels, and make election speeches.

There's lots to do and more will most likely be revealed as the game nears its launch date.
