Derick Dillard, Jill Duggar's husband has been fired from the hit reality TV series "Counting On." Aside from that, cable network TLC also cut ties with him earlier on Nov. 12 for his transphobic comments against Jazz Jennings. Reportedly, the whole affair had been going on for months.

On Nov. 12, TLC Network posted on their twitter account that Derick Dillard had not been on the show "Counting On" for months now and that now, he would no longer be returning at all.

"We want to let our viewers know that Derick Dillard has not participated in Counting On for months and the network has no plans to feature him in the future. We want to reiterate that Derick's personal statements do not reflect the views of the network. TLC is proud to share the story of Jazz Jennings and her family and will continue to do so." TLC tweeted.

The tweet was met with mixed reactions, with some of TLC's fans agreeing with the network's stance, and with others standing up for Dillard and his views on the issue.

While Dillard had tweeted about Jennings before, it was his tweet on Nov 10 that led to his firing from "Counting On." In his tweet, Dillard talked about how he pitied Jennings and how he believed Jennings was being used by adults and TV networks to reportedly promote their own agendas.

In the past, Dillard also tweeted about Jenning's gender identity. Dillard expressed his opinions on it, stating that he clearly didn't agree with it. Some fans think Dillard was merely using his freedom of speech to express his own beliefs, but a handful found his comments hateful and condescending.

The tweets added fuel to the already burning fire.

According to FOX News, Dillard tried to defend his actions, stating that he merely wanted to have a mature conversation about the issue. Fans didn't find his reasons appealing, and as of now, Dillard will not be returning to "Counting On."

Amidst the arguments, however, Jill Duggar took to Instagram to post a picture of her four-month-old baby, Samuel Scott. Fans of "Counting On" continued to bring up the issues regarding Jill's husband in the comment section.
