The last episode of "This Is Us" season 2 revealed how Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) died and how the Pearson family's life is changed forever. Despite his death, the show's directors have confirmed that viewers will still see more of Jack in the coming episodes.

In an interview with Vulture, "This Is Us" showrunners John Requa and Glenn Ficarra revealed that Jack will still have a lot of appearances in the remainder of the series. "The plan is we'll be seeing even more of Jack. We're not putting a period on anything," Requa confirmed. The executive producers also revealed that a lot of people will mourn over Jack's demise.

The last episode of the drama series is titled "Super Bowl Sunday," where the reason for Jack's death was finally revealed. Both Requa and Ficarra shared some details on how they were able to shoot the six-minute scene where Jack had to struggle with their house on fire.

According to the showrunners, they had to build a house in the middle of the mountain and create new materials for the set. They also revealed that it took them four days just to shoot the entire six-minute scene. The house was rebuilt because it needed to be installed with gas pipes and all the materials had been fire-proofed.

Meanwhile, Logan Shroyer, who plays Kevin, shared his insights about Jack's death and the way he perceives his character. In a separate interview with Vulture, Shroyer shared that his character, Kevin Pearson, is just like any teenager experiencing adolescence, confused, full of angst and easily gets proud.

The 18-year old actor also revealed that he went and watched the filming of the fire scene where Jack was supposed to die. He shared that he was there to support everyone. Regarding the death of his character's father, Shroyer believes Kevin was so upset when the fire was happening because a few hours before that, he delivered some awful words to Jack.

"This Is Us" airs Tuesday at 8 p.m. EST on NBC. Watch out for more updates on its second season.
