While novelist George R.R. Martin has remained consistent about the lack of information regarding the development of "The Winds of Winter," Amazon France seems to have more ideas about the highly anticipated release of the book.

In the online shopping website's listing, the sixth book from "A Song of Ice and Fire" saga is already available for pre-order before it officially comes out on March 9, 2017.

Although an entry from fan-made Winter is Coming website recognized that the page from Amazon France could be valid, it reminded fans that the online shop normally comes up with pages for the upcoming book releases even if the writer or the publisher has yet to make an announcement. They also have a tendency to write unofficial placeholder dates in their posts.

Meanwhile, Digital Spy revealed in early September that one Reddit user discovered a newly registered ISBN number from Penguin Random House.

According to the report, the new ISBN registration could mean that the book will be readily available in the near future. However, there are no guarantees that the new ISBN number could signify the release of the sixth installment from the best-selling "A Song of Ice and Fire" series. HarperCollins also registered a different ISBN number over a year ago, but the book still remains on the writer's desk at the moment.

Martin still claimed that "The Winds of Winter" is still under development despite the numerous reports about its possible release. Yet he rarely talks about the book in his LiveJournal account.

In his entry back in August, the novelist revealed that he was still working on the pages of book six, and he still has no announcement regarding its progress at that time.

Fans are expecting to see "The Winds of Winter" on bookstore shelves before HBO releases the seventh season of "ASOIAF" adaptation "Game of Thrones" in 2017.
