It is Damon's turn to play hero in "The Vampire Diaries" season 7, episode 18, titled "One Way or Another." After Stefan was possessed by an undead evil spirit, leading him to spread terror in Memphis, Damon rushes to the city with Alaric, who isn't too keen on helping out.

Stefan's body is currently being inhabited by Ambrose, a serial killer vampire from the 1880s who was killed by Rayna and whose spirit was eventually released from the Phoenix Stone.

During his days, Ambrose murdered as a hobby and would entertain himself by making people kill each other instead of getting his hands dirty. This is how the level of danger Damon is dealing with in "The Vampire Diaries" season 7, episode 18.

In the promo for the "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 episode, Ambrose told Damon that he'll leave Stefan alone if the older Salvatore brother does him a "small favor" while making it sound like it's not small at all.

It appears that Damon has found a way to trick Ambrose because the next scene shows Alaric taking him down just is he was about to attack Damon. In the next scenes though, Ambrose makes Stefan his next target.

Although Alaric is reluctant to help Damon (expressing to him how great the last three years were without him), it appears that he will end up enjoying the whole escapade. Seeing the two work together in "The Vampire Diaries" season 7, episode 18 is also deemed exciting for fans.

It is also exciting to see Damon do the saving this time. Knowing Stefan has been spending most of his time in the recent months saving and helping his big bro, Damon gets the chance to prove to his brother he can be someone he can rely on as well.

As this mayhem goes on, "The Vampire Diaries" season 7, episode 18 will also shed light on the Armory through Bonnie's psych ward patient named Virginia. Hopefully, the episode will also elucidate how Bonnie ended up in there and in Enzo's arms.

Speaking of which, Enzo receives devastating news from Rayna, pushing him to take matters into his own hands.

"The Vampire Diaries" season 7, episode 18, "One Way or Another," airs April 15 at 8 p.m. ET on CW.
