A party meant to unite the Heretics and the long-time residents of Mystic Falls will be held in the next episode of "The Vampire Diaries" season 7, but it does not mean that everyone will be having fun.

Based on the synopsis for the upcoming episode titled "Best Served Cold," the Salvatore matriarch Lily (Annie Wersching) will host a dinner party to introduce her former lover Julian (Todd Lasance) to her sons Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley). But the brothers will find themselves at odds with each other since they both have different opinions about Julian.

The official synopsis for the episode reads:

"After being reunited with her former love Julian, Lily hosts a dinner party to introduce him to Damon and Stefan and to declare peace between her family of Heretics and the residents of Mystic Falls. Damon and Stefan find themselves at an impasse when they realize they have differing views on how to handle Julian's arrival. At the party, Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Matt (Zach Roerig) uncover a strange mystery involving some unsuspecting residents, while a devastating revelation causes Alaric to reach his breaking point."

But aside from the Salvatore situation, the episode will also deal with the unexpected return of Jo (Jodi Lyn O'Keefe) to "The Vampire Diaries." But the actress who portrays the role of Alaric's (Matt Davis) bride who passed away in season 6 said that she was very shocked when she found out that her character will not stay dead for long.

In an interview with TV Line, O'Keefe said that she did not expect to receive a call from the show. But a lot of things changed in Mystic Falls when Jo is back from the dead.

"Everything's a lot darker, which I love. It seems a lot more intense, and I'm loving the trips through time — the flash-forwards and flashbacks," O'Keefe shared. "It's really interesting to see what's happening to these people as they're all sort of unraveling. I love the direction they've taken the show."

But the actress also revealed that a lot of things are bound to happen for Jo in the coming episode, as she is about to learn who she currently is, and why her body came back.
