Sharon Osbourne was advised to take a breather from hosting "The Talk" after collapsing at her home on Friday due to exhaustion.
The reps of the 62-year-old talk show host reported that Osbourne collapsed when she returned home to Los Angeles from hectic trips to Toronto and New York.
According to her doctors, the TV host is having "extreme exhaustion" and collapsed because of mental and physical fatigue. They also believe that returning to work too soon after she was admitted to the hospital early this year because of pneumonia, which she contracted after her hernia surgery, could also be the cause of her extreme tiredness.
The statement released regarding musician Ozzy Osbourne's wife reads:
Sharon has been advised and has agreed to take a month hiatus to recover fully from these recent events. Sharon would like to thank everyone at The Talk for granting her this time off and to all friends, family and others for their incredible support."
This is not the first time that the TV host suffered from an ailment. Back in 2002, the rocker's wife was diagnosed with colorectal cancer, which she successfully survived. Then in 2012, the British media personality had to undergo double mastectomy after doctors discovered that she carries a gene that could increase her risk of developing breast cancer later on.
The Entertainment Tonight posted a report saying that Osbourne will still be seen in "The Talk" next week since the episode was recorded earlier, but the show will have to feature several guest hosts to fill in her place while she is taking her break. Guest hosts will join Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Aisha Tyler, and Sheryl Underwood in the panel, but there is no report yet on who will likely take her spot. Last March, Osbourne's daughter Kelly took over her spot while she had her hernia surgery.
