Cast members of "The Real Housewives of New York" recently experienced a scary yacht ride in Colombia.

Stars Bethenny Frankel, Dorinda Medley, Ramona Singer, Carole Radziwill and Tinsley Mortimer were expecting a luxury cruise during a visit to Cartagena, Colombia when things took a chaotic turn, according to Page Six. Insiders claim the Bravo celebrities were instead booked onto an old, decrepit vessel which later on caught fire and started to sink.

Things got even worse when they learned the boat did not have enough life jackets for both the cast and crew, and a fire extinguisher was not available.

"They all thought they were going to die and they were hysterical," a source told the media outlet. "Bethenny, Ramona, and Dorinda were soaked and screaming hysterically. Carole and Tinsley were literally throwing up from seasickness. They were far out to sea and they thought they were going down like the Titanic."

Reports note the women were rescued by a passing boat. While they were all brought to safety, it may take some time before they publicly talk about the incident. Bravo is currently providing counseling for the cast following the traumatic incident, which will likely be featured in the show's upcoming season 10.

Meanwhile, Bravo has started an investigation into what happened. The network released a statement and confirmed everyone was able to continue the vacation according to plan, adding, "The safety of our cast and crew is paramount and, to that end, we are doing a full investigation."

Although the investigation is still ongoing, the "RHONY" cast members are reportedly planning to sue Bravo. However, sources claim that their contracts will make it very difficult to sue the network for the ill-fated Colombian trip. It remains to be seen if the Housewives will push through with the rumored lawsuit.

"The Real Housewives of New York" season 10 is expected to premiere this spring on Bravo.
