Based on the official synopsis for "The Originals" season 5 episode 4, Klaus will grow impatient due to the lack of progress in the search for Hayley. This time around, the Original hybrid will use the same old tactics of his family to reveal Hayley's abductor. Klaus will take hostages from each supernatural faction in New Orleans, an act that will compromise seven years of peace in the city.

It appears that Klaus finds the supernatural groups of New Orleans as suspicious, and they have a motive to harm Hayley given that the latter is the reigning Alpha of the Crescent werewolves. Whatever the reason behind Hayley's abduction may be, Klaus will do everything in his power to bring her home, especially as his daughter Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) is already affected by her mother's disappearance.

Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) will be bothered by Klaus' rampage in New Orleans, and he will turn to her new friend Ivy (guest star Shiva Kalaiselvan) to ask for an advice. Ivy, who has the power to see the future, believes that Klaus' return to New Orleans will put the lives of many people at risk, and her premonition might already be starting to materialize in episode 4.

To recap the previous episode of "The Originals," the spotlight was given to the oldest living Mikaelson sibling, Elijah (Daniel Guilles). The episode recounted Elijah's first days after being compelled to forget about his own identiy, his family, and his vampiric nature. Within seven years, Elijah finally learned to live his own life without worrying about the Mikaelson's vow, "Always and Forever," and it seems that it made his life more peaceful than ever.

"The Originals" season 5 episode 4 will air on Wednesday, May 9 at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
