This week's episode of "The Originals" season 5 will feature the return of another Mikaelson in New Orleans. In episode 3, titled "Ne Me Quitte Pas," Elijah Mikaelson (Daniel Guilles) is expected to undergo some sort of awakening after learning a few things about his origin. Elijah's comeback will be a step closer to the much-awaited reunion of the Original vampires, although the real problem will only begin to manifest once the siblings meet each other once again.
According to the preview for "The Originals" season 5 episode 3, the fans will learn about Elijah's journey right after Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) compelled him to forget everything in his past during the season 4 finale. Elijah chose to let go of his past so that he could move on from his murderous persona as a Mikaelson.
The episode will start with Elijah trying to adjust in a foreign land with no memories of who he is. Good thing that he will meet a "beautiful and free-spirited" vampire named Antoinette (guest star Jaime Murray), who will help him start anew. As Elijah's knowledge about his blood-sucking charactertic is erased, Antoinette will re-introduce him to the vampire ways.
The spoilers suggest that Elijah's new peaceful life will be shaken up with the arrival of Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) in France. To recap the events of season 4, the Mikaelson siblings are forbidden to be anywhere near each other as the soul fragments of an all-powerful and sinister entity known as The Hollow were locked inside their bodies. The moment they come to meet each other, they would risk to resurrect the ancient evil and spread chaos in New Orleans.
As Elijah begins to remember who he really is in "The Originals" season 5 episode 3, he will try to look for answers in New Orleans. Meanwhile, Klaus and Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) have problems to deal with in their hometown as Hayley Marshall (Phoebe Tonkin) was apparently abducted by an unknown enemy.
"The Originals" season 5 episode 3 will air on May 2 at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
