It seems like "The Originals" star Joseph Morgan is also excited to see the series return on The CW in 2017, based on the actor's post on his social media account.

On Instagram, Morgan teased that there will be a lot of explosive events in season 4. According to the actor: "Someone will be betrayed. There will probably be staking of some kind or another. Blood will flow, enemies will become friends, friends will become enemies, and strange and new alliances will be formed." He also said that his character, Klaus, will definitely return.

While all these revelations are expected to be seen in the upcoming episodes of the supernatural drama series, Morgan's post possibly confirmed that somebody close to the Mikaelsons could stab them behind their back in season 4.

Morgan did not specify who among the members of the original vampire family will be betrayed or who will be the one who will be disloyal to the family. However, an earlier statement from showrunner Julie Plec hinted that Rebekah (Claire Holt) and Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) might start spending more time with each other unlike they used to.

According to the showrunner, Rebekah will start contemplating about how her life outside her crazy and complicated family. Incidentally, Kol will also ask himself exactly the same question. "The two of them are going to bond in a way that we haven't gotten to see so much about what their future is in this family and how much of this crazy they're expected to live through," Plec stated in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

Meanwhile, speculations claimed that "The Originals" will end after season 4, since its parent series "The Vampire Diaries" will conclude after its eighth season. However, there are no confirmations yet regarding the possible cancellation of the series from The CW.

"The Originals" is expected to air sometime in 2017.
