The tension-filled season two finale of "The Originals" showed the biggest fight for the Mikaelson family, but it does not mean that the battle is over for the original hybrids from New Orleans.

Claire Holt talked about the epic battle in "The Originals" season two finale, where the Mikaelson siblings had to work together against their wicked witch aunt Dahlia (Claudia Black) to protect Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Hayley's (Phoebe Tonkin) daughter Hope.

"There's a huge showdown at the end of this episode, and the outcome will be totally unexpected," the actress who portrays the role of Rebekah shared with Entertainment Weekly.

Holt has been away for most of the season, but her character remained in the show after Rebekah has been imprisoned in a different body. But the actress said that she would want to join the rest of the cast when The Originals return for season three.

"Hell yeah! I'd love to! I'm on another show right now, Aquarius, and it's about to air. Obviously the fate of the show in the future is uncertain, but I would love to be able to do both if possible. Rebekah is so special to me, and anytime I get to go back and visit that world and New Orleans and my family there, I'm on that plane ready to go," the actress claimed.

Meanwhile, Klaus and Hayley will have a major falling off by the end of the current season after he cursed her to make Dahlia believe that he is on her side. But could the feud between baby Hope's parents continue until the next season?

Fans of "The Originals" do not need to fear about the status of their show after the season two finale, since The CW had already announced that the series spin-off of "The Vampire Diaries" will return for season three early this year.

There is no exact release date of the premiere episode of The Originals season three, but it is expected to come out next fall.
