Things will get even darker and creepier in the next episode of "The Originals," which could turn the lives of everyone in New Orleans upside down.
The CW released the official synopsis for the episode titled "Chasing the Demon's Tail," which reads:
"When Klaus (Joseph Morgan) discovers that Elijah (Daniel Gillies) has been afflicted by Esther's (Sonja Sohn) magic, he heads to the bayou in search of an antidote, but quickly realizes he's not alone. Armed with intel gathered by Aiden (guest star Colin Woodell), Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) teams up with him, Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), Cami (Leah Pipes) and Josh (guest star Steven Kruger) and launches a plan to take down Vincent (guest star Yusuf Gatewood) by exploiting his one weakness. Meanwhile, with Esther determined to carry out her plan, Vincent and Kaleb (guest star Daniel Sharman) are forced to reconsider their own strategies. Intrigued by Davina's (Danielle Campbell) unwavering attempts to create an unlinking spell, Kaleb lets her in on some secrets from his past and brings her to a place he frequented in 1914."
A promo video was also released, showing Kol (Daniel Sharman) telling Davina that he wants to drive a dagger into Klaus' heart. Esther is also seen influencing his other son Finn (Yusuf Gatewood) into getting the White Oak Stake in any way that he can.
Klaus will also face his biological werewolf father Ansel (Lloyd Owen), who he saw for the first time in the last episode. It is not yet clear whether the estranged father-son relationship will be mended in this episode, but Klaus asks his dad in the promo trailer if he made him proud.
Episode 7 will also be heavy with flashback scenes, and fans will see why Esther wants Hope dead.
It will also show the fertility deal that Ester made with her sister so that she could have children. The deal required the lives of all the firstborns of every generation to be sacrificed. This is the reason why her first-born daughter with Mikael named Freya died.
"The Originals" season 2 episode 7 airs on Monday, Nov. 17, on The CW.
