Another Mikaelson family connivance is coming in the next episode of "The Originals" season 2. In episode 16 titled "Save My Soul," Klaus (Joseph Morgan) will encourage his long-lost sister Freya (Riley Voelkel) to spy on their ruthless aunt Dahlia (Claudia Black).
Freya lived with Dahlia since she was five years old, after her mother Esther (Sonja Sohn) agreed to her sister's deal that, in exchange for a fertility spell, Freya would get the first child born in each generation of Esther's descendants. This means that Baby Hope is in danger of suffering the same fate as Freya.
In the promo video for the episode, Freya warns Klaus and their other brother Elijah (Daniel Gillies) about Dahlia's plans.
"She will come here to take the child's power for herself," she says, and kill "anyone who will defy her."
On the other hand, Rebekah (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) has disturbing flashback visions, which makes her discover that the current vessel that is holding her up is the body of Eva Sinclair, who turns out to be a wicked witch who kills young kids after stealing their magic.
Back in the previous episode, Eva was trying to gain back her body from Rebekah. To prevent her from succeeding, Rebekah ran to her former lover Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) for help. Marcel obliged, and he talked to Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) to help him with Eva.
TV Fanatic recently talked to Richardon-Sellers about her role as the Rebekah-possessed Eva.
When asked about how she feels knowing that Eva's dark past has been uncovered, the actress said, "I was shocked, but also very excited. As an actor, it's an amazing opportunity to be able to play two characters at once, but also it's scary for Rebekah. She's in a very vulnerable position now, and also for everyone else, we've never seen this happen before. This is new territory for everyone whereby the host body's waking up. It's just, like, how is everyone going to deal with that? How is Rebekah going to deal with that? To what extent is Rebekah going to be lost within this body? Is she even conscious when Eva's taking over? All these different things."
She also teased that Rebekah will be in big trouble now that Eva is trying to regain her body back.
"The Originals" season 2 episode 16 airs March 16 on The CW.
