The next episode of "The Originals" season 3 will see Klaus's pursuers stack up. Titled "An Old Friend Calls," the episode will have Klaus greeted with not one but two surprises in the form of two very angry folks.
In the promo for the episode, Klaus is starting to become paranoid. "My fathers will come for me like never before," he tells his siblings. "Devils of all kinds crawling out of their crevices to strike at me," he exclaims with apparent fear.
He has every reason to worry because he is being trailed by a "callous, smart and manipulative" vampire by the name of Cortez. In this "The Originals" season 3 episode, Mark Cedeno debuts as the aforementioned baddie.
At one point, Klaus sees Cortez following him but quickly vanishing. Elsewhere in the clip, Cortez is seen warning him face to face about how his sires are coming to get him and to destroy everything and everyone precious to him.
Speaking about Cortez, executive producer Michael Narducci told TV Line that he was "sired by a unique circumstance." As intriguing as he is, Klaus's new guest is also reputed to be one of the "most dangerous" vampires "The Originals" fans will ever meet. He's got his eyes on Klaus, so clearly, the frantic Mikaelson is in big trouble.
This trouble gets bigger with Kol brought into the picture. Davina has successfully brought him back from the dead and instantly became the witch's bodyguard, if "The Originals" season 3 promo is any indication.
When Davina was being attacked by Klaus, who is understandably angry at her for basically making them invulnerable to every dangerous forces out there (it was her who uttered the spell that cut him off his sires), undead Kol comes to the rescue and hurls his brother away from his girl.
The horror in Klaus's eyes clearly shows that he wasn't expecting his dead brother to be Davina's new savior. Of course, there's also the fact that his dead brother is alive again.
"The Originals" season 3 episode 15 "An Old Friend Calls" airs March 4 at 9 p.m. ET on CW.
