The return of "The Originals" season 3 was definitely a rollercoaster of emotions. While Cami escaped death by deciding to go through what will be a long-winding transition into a vampire, another character in the person of Jackson bit the dust.
Human-to-vampire transition is different for everybody and Cami's will be distinct in a way that she will exhibit "dark impulses" that can eventually give a free rein to the character's sinister side.
Elaborating on this, "The Originals" executive producer Michael Narducci told Entertainment Weekly that Cami is "still going to love the people that she loves" but "might be more inclined to take what she wants because she can."
Narducci also teased that Cami will finally learn to let go of fear as she feels newfound power surge within her. She will learn to face the enemies and "not play any kind of victim card" because now she has the supremacy.
Meanwhile, in the next episodes of "The Originals" season 3, Klaus will be seen helping Cami out in the way he knows best. Narducci recognizes that he may not be "genetically engineered to be a good influence" but he will at least know when Cami is losing herself.
Klaus, however, is not the "morally good" type of guy so this is going to complicate things going forward anyway.
"So there's a chance that this path might bring out the worst in both of them. And there's a chance that it might not," Narducci hinted.
The next episode of "The Originals" season 3 titled "Wild at Heart" will also see Elijah stay close to Aya after learning of the existence of a powerful and immortality-terminating weapon that could kill an Original vampire.
The installment will also show Davina mull over an offer that could help her ultimately reunite with Kol.
It has been tough for Davina in the recent months. She has been rejected by her coven of witches and is now alone and desperate but Narducci teased to TV Line that she is up for a "major" comeback.
"The Originals" season 3 episode 11 Wild at Heart" airs Feb. 5 at 9 p.m. ET on CW.
