"Birdman" actress Lindsay Duncan is joining Justin Theroux and the cast of "The Leftovers" season 3, which will also serve as the show's final season.

There's no word on what role Duncan will play and it looks like the show does not want fans to know just yet. However, TV Line believes she might be from Kevin Senior's (Scott Glenn) past.

This is based on a statement made by executive producer Damon Lindelof last year, regarding his interest to flesh out Kevin Senior in "The Leftovers" season 3 both in the present and the past.

For now though, there's no telling who Duncan will specifically playing. But if she will indeed be involved with Kevin Senior, fans should definitely be excited.

"The Leftovers 3" wraps up the television drama based on the novels written by Tom Perrotta. Filming is currently underway in Australia, which is also the setting on the show.

The production is set to wrap up this October. Behind-the-scenes photos have been released to keep fans up to speed on what's going on.

In an interview with Deadline, Lindelof opened up about the show. He revealed that the ending of "The Leftovers" season 3 and the whole show itself is "definitely not a shock."

Instead, the conclusion will incline on comfort, but this is still "relative." That being said, fans can expect "The Leftovers" to end with the same feeling the second one ended.

Lindelof also said that he isn't pressured to make a massive ending to "The Leftovers" season 3, at least at same level of other popular shows like "Game of Thrones" and "The Walking Dead."

"My job is basically to be as authentic to the same show that I've been writing all along and not really stray from that. And hopefully the audience will dig it, but that's something that you can't predict," Lindelof said.

"The Leftover" season 3 premieres next year.
