Kevin (Justin Theroux) heads back home in the upcoming episode of "The Leftovers" season 3.

Titled "It's a Matt, Matt, Matt, Matt World," next week's episode will feature the preparations for the Departure's upcoming seventh anniversary. According to the official synopsis, Matt (Christopher Eccleston) is convinced that Kevin is destined to be in Miracle for the seventh anniversary of the mysterious phenomenon that led to the disappearance of many people. Matt impulsively heads to Australia to meet Kevin and bring him back. Unfortunately, God gets in the way of his plans.

Heavy points out that Matt's mission to bring Kevin home is not too surprising. Matt seems to believe that he has already figured things out. However, considering how everything is falling into place in Australia, Matt should be the one to come with Kevin and stay there and not the other way around.

HBO has released a new sneak peek of the episode. It opens with Matt, Laurie (Amy Brenneman), John (Kevin Carroll), and Michael (Jovan Adepo) inside a plane. The pilot tells them they cannot land because the plane is being diverted. Matt is obviously infuriated because he has no idea of how they can reach Melbourne. Matt is seen approaching a mysterious woman for permission to ride on the boat. He tells her that his group needs to find a way to be in Australia. It turns out the boat is actually going there.

Matt goes on to explain why he really needs to be on that boat. He mentions that he has to bring Kevin back to Miracle. The woman then responds almost reverently, "You spoke his name." While it is unclear what is happening on the boat, most of the people aboard look like they are in a cult. At some point in the teaser, Matt is seen saying: "Creation, suffering, sacrifice, the sudden departure. Why? There has to be a reason."

The third and final season of "The Leftovers" airs every Sunday at 9 p.m. EDT on HBO.
