"The Incredibles 2" is rumored to add another superhero to the super-powered family fans came to know and love more than a decade ago when the first movie captured the hearts of many.
There are a lot of speculations surrounding the possible larger inclusion of Edna Mode, the fashion designer for superheroes that provided Mr. Incredible and his family their suits.
Reports suggest that "The Incredibles 2" will not only see Edna helping superheroes look stylish during battle, she herself will be fighting alongside them. It remains to be seen how this will be given sense, although it will be exciting to see hit pan out.
Fans love Edna Mode enough that they would want a sequel featuring the character. A fan going by the name of lexitania put together a story behind Edna's strict rule in superhero fashion: "No capes!"
Lexitania imagines a "The Incredibles" Edna Mode spinoff story wherein she fell in love with a superhero who she made a costume for. This love interest dies involving cape-related issues, which made Edna hate them.
As for the plot for "The Incredibles 2," there have been all sorts of theories including baby Jack-Jack and even Dash becoming a villain and the return of Syndrome, the antagonist in the first film.
There are also reports that "The Incredibles" sequel will tell a story about sibling rivalry, presumably between Violet and Dash or even the latter with Jack-Jack.
There have been virtually no updates regarding "The Incredibles 2" knowing that the film's release is still three years away. However, Brad Bird, who directed the first film, has been working on the sequel since last year.
"I have pages, a bunch of pages. I had a lot of ideas for the original Incredibles that I didn't get a chance to use, that I like. I have ideas that I wanted to pursue a little bit and there wasn't enough time in Incredibles," Bird told Collider.
"There are new ideas I have, and I think there are enough of those together to make an interesting movie," he added.
"The Incredibles 2" will be out on June 21, 2019.
