The finale episode of "The Good Wife" is almost near, but Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies) will still go through a lot in the next episode from season 7.

Alicia finally made a decision regarding Peter's (Chris Noth) request to stay married until after his trial. But instead of agreeing to postpone their divorce, Alicia announced in public that she will push through with it so she can start a simpler life with her new investigator Jason Crouse (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).

Her new life away from the drama involving Peter and his trial could begin in the upcoming episode titled "Party."

Alicia will try her hand at hosting a wedding party for her former mother-in-law Jackie (Mary Beth Peil) and Howard (Jerry Adler). But things will reportedly go out of hand, which is something that Alicia cannot prevent.

According to the synopsis for the episode, "Alicia's night is going to go from bad to worse when she throws a party to celebrate Howard and Jackie's upcoming wedding. Also, Eli will end up asking Jason to investigate Peter in preparation for his trial."

Meanwhile, TVLine reported that Josh Charles could possibly reprise his role as Alicia's ex-lover Will Gardner one last time in the series finale of "The Good Wife" on May 8.

According to the report, Charles' return could possibly for a fresh flashback sequence involving his character and Alicia. Will was killed off during episode 15 of season 5 titled "Dramatics, Your Honor," but he also appeared in a series of flashback scenes after that.

Charles previously said that he was open to return to the series when he was asked about it by E! News last summer. "I would love to return," the actor said. "That's my family over there."

"The Good Wife" season 7 episode 20 airs Sunday, April 24, on CBS.
