Is it time for Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies) to say goodbye to law practice?

E! News recently compiled a list of shows that need to end after its current season, and it includes CBS' hit courtroom political drama "The Good Wife," which is currently on its seventh season.

The critically acclaimed series earned accolades and high ratings in season 6. It showed how Alicia evolved from being a supportive housewife to her highly ambitious and unfaithful husband Peter (Chris Noth), to a junior litigator. She also became a public official when she was elected to be the State Attorney but she had to resign from her post when she was caught in an electoral fraud controversy. In this season, Alicia has decided return to the practice of law by working as a bond court attorney.

The E! News report claimed that Alicia has already undergone several major changes in life since the show's premiere in 2010, and it will only take a little time before the viewers get tired of watching too much bond court trials in the series.

However, the network has yet to reveal its plans for the show.

Meanwhile, Alicia must work with Lucca Quinn (Cush Jumbo) to represent a client who was dismissed from his/her job at a tech firm after failing a lie detector test.

The episode will also reveal Eli Gold's (Alan Cumming) plan to leak out information that could hurt Peter's presidential campaign and ruin Alicia's reputation at the same time.

Based on the promo trailer for the episode, Eli and Peter's campaign operative Ruth (Margo Martindale) will scheme to ruin Peter's chances of winning the US presidential elections, but Eli seems to have other plans and opts to work alone instead. However, Alicia already knows about his plans and lets him know that she has an idea about what he is trying to do. Will she manage to stop Eli from completely sabotaging Peter's campaign?

"The Good Wife" season 7 airs Sundays on CBS.
