Familiar faces might be heading to CBS All Access' gripping spin-off drama "The Good Fight" for its second season.

During its recently concluded first season, "The Good Fight" featured a bunch of cast members from the original "The Good Wife" series. The list included Jerry Adler, Carrie Preston, Christine Lahti, and Matthew Perry. Season 2 is obviously a ways off, but co-creators Robert and Michelle King have confirmed that they are already planning to introduce more "The Good Wife" alumni in the next installment.

Speaking with TV Guide, the duo said Alan Cumming, who played Eli Gold, is at the top of their wish list. Many fans initially thought Eli would appear in the spin-off's first season because his daughter Marissa (Sarah Steele) now works as Diane's (Christine Baranski) secretary. The finale saw Marissa targeting an investigator gig at Reddick, Boseman & Kolstad, which means her father will likely share his thoughts on her new endeavor. "It might be fun to see what Marissa Gold's father is doing these days, particularly in this political atmosphere," Michelle explained.

Season 1 left off with Maia (Rose Leslie) testifying in court for Lucca (Cush Jumbo). Diane briefly aligned herself with alt-right and everyone relied on the law as their only saving grace. At the end of the hour, Maia was arrested after her father Henry (Paul Guilfoyle) decided to escape instead of turning himself in.

Michelle recently caught up with E! News and she teased that the finale cliffhanger will not be resolved right away in season 2. She also revealed that they are planning to surprise fans by taking the story to a different direction.

"We have some of it plotted out, we don't want it to be like Cary Agos being arrested at the beginning of the sixth season of 'Good Wife.' In many ways it's going to play out in a different way, I would just say it's going to continue. It's not a cliffhanger that's immediately answered in the first episode of the next season," the series co-creator hinted.

The first season of "The Good Fight" is currently available for streaming on CBS All Access, while season 2 premieres next year.
