'The Fosters' season 4 spoilers: More revelations and conflict to be witnessed next season

A lot of explosive revelations were dropped in the third season finale of "The Fosters," but things still seem to look nerve-wracking when the family drama series returns for season 4.

In the third season finale, Jude (Hayden Byerly) and Callie (Maia Mitchell) dealt with Jack's (Tanner Buchanan) tragic death. Jude was emotionally broken by his dear friend's passing, making him hold tighter to his spirituality. Callie had a different way to deal with the pain since she believes that Jack was a victim of the private foster care process that Justina Marks (Kelli Williams) strongly advocates.

Callie decided to stand up against the dangerous private foster care policy that Justina wanted her to support. She realized that because of the process, Jack was abused and killed by the same foster dad that hurt her and Jesus in the past. She also learned that Justina is being paid by private foster matching company Arbiter, which made her decide to publicly oppose Justina's ideas.

Justina was obviously unhappy with Callie's gestures, which is why she exposed the past sexual relationship between Callie and her adoptive brother Brandon (David Lambert).

Callie was upset that the news came out in public, but her moms Stef (Teri Polo) and Lena (Sherri Saum) showed their support to their latest adoptive daughter. They even advised her to fight against Justina, but Callie decided not to because all the rumors about her tryst with Brandon are actually true. Will this enrage the mothers?

Meanwhile, Nick (Louis Hunter) finally discovered that his girlfriend Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) and her former boyfriend Mat (Jordan Rodrigues) are hooking up. This will make him very angry, to the point of burning Mariana's letters and putting the entire set of Brandon's musical into flames. The end of the episode also showed him keeping a gun in his car's trunk. Will Nick's fury turn tragic when the series returns for season 4?

Freeform has yet to announce the premiere date of "The Fosters" season 4.
