Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell, both of "Prison Break" fame, will once again join forces on the small screen as they try to get hold of Central City during the midseason premiere of "The Flash."

Miller returns as Captain Cold, who brings with him his partner Heat Wave, played by Dominic Purcell, to do a series of crimes such as abducting Caitlin Snow (Daniel Panabaker). The two lawless beings kidnap Caitlin in order to trap the Flash (Grant Gustin). Unfortunately for Caitlin, the Flash/ Barry Allen is not keen on meeting Captain Cold again after their last deadly duel that left a lot of casualities.

The official synopsis for the midseason premiere episode "Revenge of the Rogues" reads:

"Leonard Snart AKA Captain Cold returns to Central City with a new hotheaded partner in tow – Mick Rory AKA Heat Wave. The duo plan to steal a multi-million dollar painting, but Cold has another agenda while in town – to set a trap for The Flash. Snart and Mick kidnap someone close to The Flash and threaten to kill them unless The Flash shows up for a battle of fire and ice. Barry tells Joe (Jesse L. Martin) he isn't sure he should take on Snart again after the casualties that happened the last time they fought. Meanwhile, Barry asks Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh), Caitlin and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) to help him double his training efforts so he's ready for the Reverse Flash when he returns to Central City. Iris deals with the aftermath of Barry's confession, and Cisco makes the CCPD a new shield. Nick Copus directed the episode written by Geoff Johns & Kai Yu Wu."

Also in the episode, Iris West (Candice Patton) feels she has to do something. How would she act around Barry, her best friend, now that he has already expressed his feelings for her? Would she act on it when she realizes that she is also in love with him? If the two finally decide to take a chance with their feelings for each other, would Eddie Thawne's (Rick Cosnett) wrath push him to become one of the villains in the Flash's life?

"The Flash" returns on The CW on Jan. 20.
