Filmmaker Kevin Smith will be directing episode 22 of "The Flash" season 2. In the making of the installment, he had help from "Thor" writer Zack Stentz, who did not fail to wow Smith.

In a Facebook post, the director said that Stentz "crushed" the script, which made for a "wonderfully emotional" episode of "The Flash" season 2. Meanwhile, the "X-Men: First Class" writer is thankful for the opportunity.

In related "The Flash" news, the cast, creators and showrunners of "Supergirl" recently talked about Grant Gustin's Barry Allen's highly anticipated visit to National City.

Executive producer Greg Berlanti, who is a producer of both "The Flash" and "Supergirl," admitted during the Paleyfest (via Variety) that "we needed to create a way to do it."

Berlanti explained that Supergirl did not exist in "The Flash" and "Arrow" worlds. "We introduced the multiverse in 'The Flash' this year and that was always our way in," Berlanti explained.

When "The Flash" season 2 returns, Barry and the STAR Labs team will be dealing with another speedster – Trajectory. In promotional photos for the episode, the female speedster attacks STAR Labs.

In fact, she even managed to put Barry in a metahuman chamber and she has also gained leverage over the rest of Team Flash. She even threatens Harry by taking his daughter Jesse hostage.

This goes to show that she is more than just a petty thief, as she is shown in the promo for "The Flash" season 2 episode that was named after her.

According to some theories, Trajectory may be one of the metahumans sent by Zoom and is tasked to bring back Velocity-9 for him so that he can get faster. But with Zoom's obsessions with speed, it sounds like a bad idea for Trajectory to work with or for him.

Barry will first encounter Trajectory when he and the gang go for a night out. Trajectory was using her speed to commit theft, leading people to believe it is Flash doing the crime.

"The Flash" season 2 returns on March 22 on The CW. The show's crossover with "Supergirl" will air on CBS on March 28.
