Red (James Spader) will be stopping two things in "The Blacklist" season 3, episode 17 – both are deemed ultimately destructive to the people involved. Titled "Mr. Solomon," this episode will be the first of the upcoming two-part special of the series.
First, Red and the task force will race against the clock to stop thieves from getting hold of tactical nuclear weapons that will unquestionably spell disaster in the city.
The second thing Red will put a stop to is Liz (Megan Boone) and Tom's wedding. In the promo for "The Blacklist" season 3, episode 17, the former seems so certain about marrying the guy.
However, Red tries to prove to Liz otherwise by revealing that Tom is a criminal and will always be one. The promo photos, which show Tom attempting to bury a dead body, seem to hint that Red is telling the truth.
It looks like Red's convincing will work, seeing that the synopsis for "The Blacklist" season 3 episode teases the two "make a decision that will change their relationship."
"The Blacklist" season 3, episode 17 promo also teases Red and other armed men preparing their armory. Whether or not this is for the nuclear weapon bandits or Liz's groom remains to be seen.
Spader recently stopped by "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon," where he teased what fans can expect in following "The Blacklist" season 3 episodes.
"I must say, anybody who has had any interest, even the smallest degree, in this show, even if one saw the pilot and sort of abandoned it from that point. But if anyone had a passing interest in this show, boy, 17 and 18 are so crazy. I mean so crazy," the actor said.
Speaking of "The Blacklist" season 3, episode 18, the task force will find themselves in the face of tragedy, with Red helping to get them by with his "unconventional" methods. In this episode, Tom and Liz's baby's future will be on the line.
"The Blacklist" season 3, episode 17 airs April 7 at 9 p.m. ET on NBC. Episode 18 airs the same time on April 14. Watch online via the NBC app.
