'Big Bang Theory' season 8 spoilers: Episode 13 delayed to Jan. 29

Guess who likes Taylor Swift after all? Facebook

Fans of "The Big Bang Theory" might have to miss their favorite comedy series once again even though Sheldon and the gang just returned from their holiday break.

According to the report posted by The International Business Times, the 13th episode of "The Big Bang Theory" season 8 will have to be put on hold until Jan. 29 as CBS has decided to prolong the series until May this year.

Carter Matt also talked about the broadcast delay, saying that this will not be the last time that the network will broadcast episode re-runs in between fresh episodes. According to the sources of the news site, there is still a possibility that the network will halt the regular programming sometime in March and April to ensure that they have enough episodes until the finale in May.

At any rate, when episode 13 of the current season airs on Jan. 29, Sheldon (Jim Parsons) will have the shock of his life as he discovers that he actually loves listening to Taylor Swift's songs. The synopsis for the episode titled "The Anxiety Optimization" reads:

"When Sheldon becomes stuck in a rut with his work, the gang tries to help him by raising his stress levels. Howard (Simon Helberg) teases Raj (Kunal Nayyar) with a new game called 'Cinnamon or Emily'."

At the end of that episode, Penny (Kaley Cuoco) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) sings to him so that he can fall asleep.

On the other hand, the spoilers for episode 14 are starting to surface as early as now. In that episode, Stuart (Kevin Sussman) will be moving to the house of Ms. Wolowitz to be a caretaker before becoming a regular member of her household. This will make Howard feel threatened that Stuart may soon replace him in the eyes of his mother.

This episode is said to be the show's tribute to Carol Ann Susi, the actress who lent her voice for Howard's mom. Susi passed away in November 2014 due to cancer.
