'The Affair' season 4 rumors: Noah-Juliette love affair to end in shambles

Rumors claim that Noah's complexity will be the reason why his relationship with Juliette will not last in "The Affair" season 4. Facebook/The Affair

While some fans suspect that Noah (Dominic West) may finally find his happy ending in the upcoming season 4 of "The Affair," some believe that it is unlikely to be the case as his relationship with Juliette (Irène Jacob) may end in shambles, too, just like his previous relationships.

To recall, Noah followed Juliette to Paris to woo her back in the previous season of "The Affair." While he eventually returned to America without Juliette, some believe that things will further develop between the two, especially that Juliette is now a widow.

However, according to the latest reports, just because Noah displayed a great deal of effort in winning back Juliette in the previous season of the Showtime series, it does not follow that he is really serious with her. As "The Affair" series creator Sarah Treem has earlier described Noah as someone who is self-destructive, it is now suspected that things between him and Juliette will not last as well because of his own doing.

Apart from Noah's complexity, it is also suspected that one of the possible reasons why his relationship with Juliette will not work out is because of their setup. After all, with the geographical distance that separates them, both may grow tired of their relationship and eventually give up.

Nonetheless, in the same interview, Treem reveals that the upcoming fourth season of the Showtime series may finally deliver a happy ending to the tumultuous lives of the adulterous characters. Hence, there is still a possibility for Noah to finally find his happy ending. If it is going to be with Juliette, no one outside the series can really tell for now.

"I see a fourth season that will bring all the characters back together in a way that would feel really satisfying and surprising and end a journey," Treem hinted at what fans can expect from "The Affair" season 4.

"The Affair" is said to return to Showtime for its fourth season run later this year.
